Who are we?

Independent Financial Advice and Education (“IFA&E”) trading as Naked Wealth is a financial services business dedicated to producing financial education via websites, webinars, live events, newsletters and reports. We also provide information and recommendations regarding financial products that are available to the public. We hold an Australian Financial Services License No. 520963 that authorises us to operate a financial services license.

We provide general financial product advice only, not personal financial product advice. The advice we offer via Naked Wealth has been prepared WITHOUT taking into consideration your objectives, financial situation or needs.

What Financial Services is Naked Wealth authorised to provide?

Our AFS licence authorises us to carry on a financial services business to:

  •  provide financial product advice for the following classes of financial products:
    • deposit and payment products limited to:
      • basic deposit products;
      • deposit products other than basic deposit products;
    • debentures, stocks or bonds issued or proposed to be issued by a government;
    • life products including:
      • investment life insurance products as well as any products issued by Registered Life Insurance Company that are backed by one or more of its statutory funds; and
      • life risk insurance products as well as any products issued by a Registered Life Insurance Company that are backed by one or more of its statutory funds;
    • interests in managed investment schemes including:
      • investor directed portfolio services;
    • retirement savings accounts ("RSA") products (within the meaning of the Retirement Savings Account Act 1997);
    • securities; and
    • superannuation; and
  •  deal in a financial product by:
    • applying for, acquiring, varying or disposing of a financial product on behalf of another person in respect of the following classes of products:
      • deposit and payment products limited to:
        •  basic deposit products;
        •  deposit products other than basic deposit products;
      • debentures, stocks or bonds issued or proposed to be issued by a government;
      • life products including:
        •  investment life insurance products as well as any products issued by a Registered Life Insurance Company that are backed by one or more of its statutory funds; and
        •  life risk insurance products as well as any products issued by a Registered Life Insurance Company that are backed by one or more of its statutory funds;
      • interests in managed investment schemes including:
        •  investor directed portfolio services;
      • retirement savings accounts ("RSA") products (within the meaning of the Retirement Savings Account Act 1997);
      • securities; and
      • superannuation; to retail and wholesale clients.
    •  Naked Wealth provides educational content for employees via their employers and also to general public.
    •  Naked Wealth offers an online program providing education, commentary and general advice content on a range of general investing and financial Topic areas include economics, shares, property, superannuation, managed funds, ETFs, fixed interest and cash. Across various topic areas we provide a range of product recommendations to facilitate implementing our education and advice.

We do not offer any service for you to buy or sell securities or invest in any managed fund. A list of stockbrokers who are licensed to deal in securities is available from the Australian Stock Exchange.

Why is this guide required?

The information provided by Naked Wealth is general financial advice only.

The general advice we provide includes the information, advice and recommendations you have read or obtained from attending a webinar or seminar by a Naked Wealth representative. Because this information is being made available to retail clients, we are required to provide this FSG to you.

How does Naked Wealth get paid?

Naked Wealth is an online subscription-based service. A fixed monthly subscription fee is payable when you subscribe to Naked Wealth (the amount depending on the type of subscription and length of time of your subscription). Current subscription fees are provided on the website, www.nakedwealth.au or contact us by email.

We provide various other advice and education services which are provided under arrangements made with individual employers.

These products provide general financial product advice only, not personal financial product advice. The advice published by Naked Wealth has been prepared without taking into account your objectives, financial situation or needs.

How are Naked Wealth staff paid?

All employees are paid from revenue received. No employee is entitled to any other fees, commissions or benefits from Naked Wealth or any other person in relation to the financial services provided.

Do you have any relationships or associations that you should be aware of?

Naked Wealth is entirely independent.

We do not have ownership in any product provider and no product provider has any ownership in Naked Wealth.

What should I do if I have a complaint or dispute?

Naked Wealth takes any complaints seriously and we are committed to trying to resolve them as quickly as possible.

To assist you in any complaints or disputes, we have: 

  •  Established internal dispute resolution procedures. The Naked Wealth team will respond to your complaint and seek to come to a satisfactory resolution directly with you. You can contact us by emailing [email protected]
  •  Become a member of the Australian Financial Complaints Authority, which allows you an external source of assistance if you are not satisfied with our resolution
  •  Taken out Professional Indemnity Note that this insurance will cover claims in relation to the conduct of employees who no longer work for us (but who did at the time of the relevant conduct)

If the outcomes of this is not satisfactory to you, you may refer your complaint to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (“AFCA”), of which Independent Financial Advice and Education is a member (Member Number 75423).

Privacy

We keep your name and email address details in our database for the purpose of providing the services you request. We may also keep your telephone and address details if you provide them to use. We may also keep a copy of any correspondence between you and us, including but not limited to, emails, telephone conversations and letters. At any time, you may change or remove your details by contacting us.

We may from time to time inform you of special offers, or ask your opinion of our services, but you may opt out of receiving any of these offers by contacting us. We will not share your personal information with any third party without your express permission.

IFA&E is bound by the National Privacy Principles (“NPPs”) which form part of the Privacy Act 1988. We are committed to adhering to the NPPs and protecting your privacy.
